Cycle to School Week 2025: Getting to School Just Got Awesome!
Mark your calendars! From Monday 13 to Friday 17 October, schools across Southampton, Portsmouth (and beyond) are invited to join in on Cycle to School Week 2025. This initiative, championed by Bikeability, encourages children and their parents or carers to swap the school car run for a bike ride.

HAF Easter Break - Portsmouth
What is HAF?
Holiday Activities and Food is managed by Portsmouth City Council with funding from the Department for Education (DfE).
We run learn to ride sessions for children at HAF events in Portsmouth.
Rules for owning and riding e-scooters in the UK
– Public Roads and Cycle Lanes: Privately owned e-scooters are illegal to use on public roads, cycle lanes, and pavements. Only rental e-scooters from government-approved trials can be used on public roads and cycle lanes.
– Private Property: You can legally use privately owned e-scooters on private property with the landowner’s permission.
