Winter Solstice On Two Wheels

What a way to celebrate the Winter Solstice!

This weekend, three of our fantastic Bikeability instructors – Josh, Meg, and Pete – cycled through the night (or rather the early hours!) to reach Stonehenge in time for sunrise on the shortest day of the year.

For the Strava stats fans ... a magnificent 53.63 miles with 2,258ft of elevation gain in 5 hours 10 minutes

Meg joined the group near Southampton around 4:30am (the original 3am meet-up was delayed by punctures – all part of the adventure!), and together they tackled misty lanes, twinkling Christmas lights, and those quiet pre-dawn roads to witness something truly special.

Inspiring stuff!!

Huge thanks to Josh from Monty's Bike Hub for sharing these wonderful photos and thank you to the team for always being so brilliant in supporting our Bikeability sessions in Southampton!
