Learn To Ride

At Pedal Power Training we believe in teaching children to ride a bike and getting them out and about as early as possible.

As well as the Bikeability training in schools across Hampshire, this is complemented with Balance Bike and Scooter training.

If you are a playgroup, infant or junior school and want to offer your children something new and fun, then please get in touch. Our fully qualified Bikeability instructors have lots of experience in working with KS1 and KS2 children for both balance bike and scooter training.

Balance Bike training is great for KS1 and Scooter training has become very popular for KS2. We can provide all the equipment; you just need to provide the riders.

Bikeability Balance and Scooter Training

  • Bikeability Balance

Balance Bike training Develops those crucial early cycle handling and awareness skills in 4-7 year olds using games on balance bikes, trikes or adapted cycles. It drives up confidence, inspires progression to pedal cycling and prepares the riders for Bikeability Level 1 training. Pedal Power Training use Strider bikes as they offer the best performance in terms of reliability and durability.

  • Scooter Training

Scooter Training is aimed at all scooter riders of all levels from those who are confident to those looking to start. Open to ages 5+, sessions are delivered primarily through schools, local and national authorities, as well as a wide variety of organisations. We work alongside the school travel planning team, support teachers, health and fitness projects and a wide range of other active lifestyle initiatives.

“I can't thank you enough and I just wanted to cry with happy tears this morning!

My child absolutely adored you (which is high praise from her!!). You have truly transformed things for us, so thank you again.”
