Meet the Pedal Power Team

I'm Donna Coyne, Director and owner of Pedal Power Training Ltd. My journey into cycle training began in 2008, when I noticed a gap in cycling awareness with not only my own children but also their friends at Sea Cadets. After researching options, I discovered that Gosport were running an exciting pilot scheme for Bikeability, which was replacing the old Cycling Proficiency programme.

My connection with Pedal Power Training started in 2010 when I joined as an instructor. After thirteen years of teaching and building experience with the company, an opportunity arose to take over the business when the previous owners decided to step away. I became owner and director in 2023, and since then we've continued to grow our delivery of training sessions for both Portsmouth City Council and Southampton City Council.

Since the formation of Pedal Power Training in 2009, we have steadily grown an enviable reputation as a provider of quality cycle training. Meet my brilliant team. Each year we have consistently met all targets set for us by our local authority partners.

References are available on request, and we have all the policies, paperwork and certification you’d expect from a professional organisation in our line of work. If you’ve any questions about our previous work or the services we offer, please get in touch with us.

Our goal remains simple but important - we don’t just teach cycling, we inspire a lasting love for it.

Our Delivery Partner

We partner with Monty’s Bike Hub in Southampton on some of our training deliveries, which means we also benefit from the pool of their fab cycling instructors too.

Monty’s Bike Hub is a social enterprise & charity supporting all things cycling in the east of Southampton.

“Everything you did this morning has just transformed her and she's getting us to Halfords this afternoon for a bike rack and making plans to cycle in the New Forest.
